Revival of Dissent
To the digital world, To the faux webbing
I have traveled the U.S. and heard the future. The future sounds like a rehash of nothing worth writing or recording, east of intent and tolerance is where most of us live. The best part about the realization is we now have a true north, any direction we decide to move that is away from this low point in sub-culture is a worthwhile move.
we’ve merchandised art.
we’ve rehashed individualism.
we’ve written the same records over and over again.
we’ve chased comfort and found it.
I’ve been thinking about it a lot over the past few years, these records, these shows, and my silent march into the monotony of the lie of punk rock, quiet kid grows into a quiet adult who lives a mild perversion of dissent and subversion. With all the reflecting and social meditation, the whole alone in a crowded room feeling, I’ve found a small tent revival of dissent somewhere in my chest and over this time, I’ve tried to slowly feed it. Now at 25, I’m sure it’s time to recommit to a purist sensibility. I want to exercise it as much as possible through Latin For Truth. Our next record will be an ace endeavor. 100 percent effort by us, very sure of it.
Just want the 15 year old kid who only had idealism to keep his heart lit to be proud of the 25 year old man who has a voice. I must act accordingly, believe my own myth, make the lie bear fruit.
